The CBAs 2020 is now set to go ahead as a virtual event this year, taking place on Friday 11 December from 18:00 – 19:00. The move, taken as a result of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, will see the ten awards handed out to winners across the Cherwell District during a virtual celebratory event that will be live streamed, with all invited and welcome to attend.

Placi Espejo, one of the four directors of the Cherwell Business Awards, said:

“We have been monitoring Government advice and guidelines throughout the year in the hope that we could still host our postponed Gala Dinner at our usual venue, Heythrop Park. In light of the current situation, this is not to be. Nevertheless, all of the CBA team and our sponsors still wanted to recognise and celebrate the outstanding businesses in the Cherwell District and express our appreciation for the effort all the businesses have gone to in entering the awards. With a great AV team now in place, we are all very excited to be delivering the awards in this creative and accessible way, whilst still hopefully being able to achieve the personal and celebratory ambiance of the normal awards. Thank you to everyone who applied and congratulations to all shortlisted finalists.”
